Reflections on Life and Death

As our end approaches ever near,
We may hesitate, or even fear,
We seek happiness and a life that's strong,
But desires may go unfulfilled, and we wander for long.

Yet as life comes to an end,
We realize that it's impermanent,
Etched in our heart forevermore,
Brilliance that came before.

Winter goes and spring returns,
Our souls to heaven may take turns,
Our time on earth may be finite,
But in the long river of time we are infinite.
